8th Grade Ancient World History 9th Grade US Government 12th Grade Humanities Assignmentsupcoming trimester:To access assignments I have created a Google Classroom for each of my offered courses. When the school year begins I email a class link to their school email account. The student should enroll so that they can have access to the digital submission box for the class and the active calendar for the course. The calendar will be updated daily with homework assignments and larger assignments reminders.
Familiarity with the content on Google Classroom is vital or student success, so if they are having trouble logging in, or if the student has forgotten their account information, the issue should be addressed as quickly as possible to ensure success. Students should be able to resolve any issues or concerns on their own, however feel free to reach out to me on the listed email with any persisting questions or challenges and I will do everything to get students back on track. To see a calendar for your student's class click on the Google Calendar Link that corresponds with their class title below. This roadmap is updated weekly and is subject to change if more or less time is needed for a subject over the course of a week. 6th Grade Social Studies 8th Grade Ancient World History 9th Grade Government 12th Grade Humanities |
Hello! My name is Phillip Mason, and this is my third year teaching at JMPS. I currently teach 6th grade Social Studies, 8th grade Ancient World History, 9th grade US Government, and 12th Grade Humanities. I am an Arizona transplant, and I grew up in Maryville, TN which is a little town in the heart of the Great Smokey Mountains. My time in Tennessee ended after I earned my bachelor’s degree in History from The University of Tennessee, and I accepted a job in Toccoa, GA. In Toccoa I was the Assistant Director at Camp Fire Camp Toccoa, and that was the beginning of my journey in youth development. I love exploring nature by hiking, camping, and running. When I am not outside, I love reading, watching soccer, and playing tabletop games.
