BiographyI am a Native Spanish speaker from Mexico City, with 8 years of experience teaching dual modality and immersion classes at Sunrise Middle School and Horizon
High School at Paradise Valley School District. I graduated from Arizona State University with a Bachelor's degree in Spanish Linguistics and a minor in Secondary Education. I enjoy teaching the variations of the language and bringing much of my culture into the classroom. I strongly believe that everyone learns at their own pace and in different ways. As a second language learner myself, I know the importance of providing a comfortable space, free of judgment where making mistakes is the norm and the best way of learning. In my spare time, I enjoy the outdoors, hiking, biking and traveling abroad. I recently completed a pilgrimage walk from France to Spain in 30 days and immersed myself in the Spanish culture and traditions of the European countries. |
