| The executive branch organizes a community service opportunity each trimester, which the students at JMPS are encouraged to participate. For the 1st trimester the students may choose to walk or to volunteer for the Walk to Cure Diabetes on November 3rd. For the 2nd trimester, the executive branch is organizing a food drive. The 3rd trimester, students will have the opportunity to volunteer in a soup kitchen. Community service is important for several reasons. It is a way that JMPS can give back and reach out to the local community. The students will have this experience that they may put it on their college applications. Lastly, there is not a better feeling than helping out others. |
