The purpose of the junior high boys basketball team is to teach the boys the fundamentals of basketball. The boys have a less rigorous schedule than the varsity team does, as they are there to enjoy learning how to play a team sport. All participants are allowed fairly equal playing time during games. This team prepares the students for the varsity basketball team at JMPS.

There is not a junior high basketball team for the 2009-2010 school year.  Interested junior high boys are welcome to join the varsity team.
