High School Play
|
Over the course of a school year, the high school (ninth through twelfth grades) often puts on a straight play in addition to the all-school musical. Previous years' plays include "The Princess Bride" (2008), “Pride and Prejudice” (2007), "The Crucible" (2005), and “A Christmas Carol” (2004). The high school play in the fall of 2009 was "Monty Python's Quest for the Holy Grail". Both performances went very well and received enthusiastic audience support. Ditto for the 2010 play, "Peter Panned." The pictures on this page are from Madison Prep's production of "Our Town." THIS YEAR'S (2011-2012) FALL PLAY WAS THE AMERICAN THEATRE CLASSIC "OUR TOWN," WRITTEN BY THORNTON WILDER. THE SHOW WAS GREAT BOTH NIGHTS, AND BOTH NIGHTS WE WERE BLESSED WITH AUDIENCES THAT WERE MOVED BY THE PLAY TO LAUGH AND TO CRY. THANK YOU TO ALL WHO CAME. AND THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO HELPED MAKE THE PLAY SUCH A SUCCESS! YOUR HELP WAS MUCH NEEDED AND MUCH APPRECIATED. THANKS A MILLION!
