Madison Prep has an active extracurricular drama program.  The school has produced a full-scale Broadway musical in each of the last seven years.  All seventh through twelfth grade JMPS students are invited to be in the musical.  Most recently the students performed "The Music Man."  Other musicals produced have been “Oliver!” (2003), “Fiddler on the Roof” (2004), “Hello, Dolly!” (2005), “The Sound of Music” (2006), "Annie Get Your Gun" (2007), "Guys and Dolls" (2008), "The Music Man" (2009), "Seven Brides for Seven Brothers" (2010).

The high school (ninth through twelfth grade) also often puts on a play.  In the fall of 2009 JMPS students performed “Monty Python and the Quest for the Holy Grail,” and it received enthusiastic audience support.  Other high school plays produced through the years include: "The Princess Bride" (2008), "Pride and Prejudice" (2007), “The Crucible” (2005), and "A Christmas Carol" (2004).
