| Athletes Lift Weights, Cheerleaders Lift Athletes. James Madison Cheer is all about becoming athletes able to represent, encourage and extend the mission of character and excellence upon which the school was founded. We lead the school in spirit-encouraging activities through games, pep rallies, spirit weeks, bonfires, fun food days and more. We work hard at our sport, practicing three times each week, incorporating stretching, strength training, tumbling, cardio fitness, stunting, dance, and cheer rehearsal. Every summer we attend camp to keep our skills sharp and to learn new ways of excelling in our sport and in encouraging our teams and school as a whole. Our small school environment affords our cheerleaders opportunities to experience and perform skills and routines normally done by varying dance teams, pom squads, and even drum majors. Cheer Camp: August 4, 8:00 a.m. through August 6, 4 p.m., School Auditorium
Post-Camp Practices: August 7-8, 8-11 a.m., School Auditorium
Regular Season Practices (Beginning first day of school, August 8): Monday: 3:30-6 Wednesday & Thursday: 3:30-5:00
