| The members of AV Club are responsible for providing all audio-visual support on campus. This includes lighting and sound, video work and still photography. The club consists of four activity areas, each with a faculty advisor. Members are encouraged, and in some cases expected, to be involved in more than one of these areas. The club will build an on-line store of video and still photography for use by other campus groups, such as the newspaper, the year book and a planned video newscast. Major projects planned for the club include producing DVDs of campus theater productions and compiling a “video year book”. Mr. B advises the tech crew. These students man the sound booth during assemblies and other events held in the Auditorium. They also provide sound and lighting support for all school theatrical productions. Mr. Fritzmiller advises the sports photographers. The sports photography students attempt to capture the excitement and action of the athletic activities and events. These students attend games and practices, taking hundreds of pictures to capture dozens of usable photos. They then edit the pictures to make them ready for yearbook, newspaper, and other school publications. Mr. Roberts provides overall coordination of club activities and advises the members performing video camera work and photography of campus life. Our objective is to create a record of all major campus events as well as day-to-activity at the school. A second objective is for students to learn the elements of photography and significantly improve the quality of their work. Student photographers will be expected to edit and organize their photos and video clips to make them available for use by other campus organizations. Mrs. Quigley advises the video editing activity. Students will edit and organize the video library for the school. This will include projects such as videos of JMPS theater productions and the video year book. Visit us on YouTube. |
