Every year the 8th grade students have the opportunity to be in the 8th grade play.  While the 8th grade play has been mandatory in the past, in recent years it has been optional, with all students choosing to participate in it.  Past plays have been "The Wizard of Oz," "Robin Hood," "Beauty and the Beast," "Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory,"  "Chitty, Chitty, Bang, Bang," and "Sleeping Beauty."  The play takes place in the spring, with the performances being in the penultimate week of the school year. Eighth graders have thoroughly enjoyed the performances and the experiences in the past, and younger students look forward to the plays in which they can participate.
