This year the 8th grade class is going to perform "Aladdin, Jr."!

Every year the 8th grade students at JMPS have the opportunity to be in the 8th grade play.  The 8th grade play is a mandatory class for the 8th grade. Students learn the ins and outs of theatre and get a chance to put on a musical at the end of the spring trimester.  Past plays have been "The Wizard of Oz," "Robin Hood," "Beauty and the Beast," "Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory," "Chitty, Chitty, Bang, Bang," "Sleeping Beauty," "Snow White & the Seven Dwarves," "The Hunchback of Notre Dame," and "Annie, Jr."  The play is performed in the spring during the penultimate week of the school year. Eighth graders have thoroughly enjoyed the performances and the experiences in the past, and younger students look forward to the play in which they get to participate.
